New mini-series of ARY Digita – Aakhri Station is set to be released on 13th February. The miniseries is based on social issues and it is penned by Amna Mufti and directed by Sarmad Khoosat.
‘Aakhri Station’ is Kashf Foundation’s production and this is their bold move as this mini-series addresses topics like HIV and prostitution. Previously Kashf Foundation produced ‘Rehaai’ and ‘Udaari’ addressing issues like child marriages and child abuse.

In the promo Shabaza Azmi lent her voice to the poetry of Amjad Islam Amjad. The promos of ‘Aakhri Station’ on air, gives an idea that how our drama industry is gradually getting mature enough to address issues beyond regular stuff that we see in prime time entertainment.
Aakhri Station is a story of seven women as its subjects and addresses their issues. With problems like drugs, depression, and HIV, Aakhri Station seems to relate itself to a lot of people suffering from these problems and to take Pakistani TV dramas addressing social issues to a whole new level.
The cast has some stellar names like Sanam Saeed, Nimra Bucha, and Tooba Siddique.
