Last night Komal Rizvi set the stage on fire at the Grand Finale of Pepsi Unplugged with her incredible performance. The beautiful Komal Rizvi belted out hit after hit leaving the audience wanting more. The songstress showcased her incredible range through the versatility of the songs she sang.
From the Sindhi folk song Vashmallay, to the ever-popular Danay pe dana to the contemporary Tu Beh Gaya the audience was delighted to hear her repertoire. Rizvi then crooned a very well-crafted mash-up of Adele’s ‘Hello’, ‘Set fire to the rain’, and ‘Rolling in the deep’. Serving as the icing on the cake for the audience at the Grand Finale of Pepsi Unplugged were her highly charged renditions of the songs Meray yaar di gharoli and Ghoom chakara. The versatility of songs showed why Komal Rizvi is the leading female vocalist of Pakistan.
Accompanying Komal Rizvi in creating the magic was her ensemble of amazing musicians — Qaiser Zain-ul-Abdedin on drums, Yasir Rizvi on lead guitars, Kashif Chaman on dholak, Ali Shah on keyboard, Russell D Souza on bass guitar, and Hassan Khan on dhol, with backing vocals by Nimra Rafique and Walliullah Farooqui.
Komal Rizvi looked fabulous in a Dolce & Gabbana jacket paired with Hollister jeans and accessorized with a Gucci belt and Dior shoes. Her hair and makeup was done courtesy Beenish Pervaiz. Together, the winning combination made Komal Rizvi look every inch the star that she is.
The official sponsors of the Grand Finale of Unplugged were Pepsi Co., Close up, Nestle Dolce Gusto, Cadbury, and EBM.
